TCRC Employee Benefits Package

Medical Plan Choices

All benefits are available to full-time (between 20 and 40 hours per week) and part-time (20 hours per week) employees. Schedules of less than 40 hours will modify the company’s contribution and may affect the employee’s ability to participate. All employees are eligible to participate in Aetna HMO/PPO Health Insurance Plans. Employees that live in the Ventura County area are eligible to participate in the Kaiser HMO Insurance Plan as well. TCRC has a self-insured prescription drug plan through Medco, which is included with Aetna HMO/PPO Plans. Kaiser Insurance Plans have their own prescription plan. Employees’ current share of cost for medical premiums is as follows (Please note: These rates are effective 01/01/07 through 12/31/07, and are bi-weekly rates):

Employees may elect to waive health insurance will receive $100 per month in lieu of insurance.

Dental Insurance

Dental Insurance is administered by Assurant Dental PPO. TCRC will pay 100% of the premium for full time employees and their eligible dependents, and a prorated amount for part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week. Individual deductible for both In and Out of Network is $50 per individual. Please note there is a 6 month waiting period for major dental work. There is a $1,500 annual dental insurance maximum.

The deductible does not apply to Diagnostic & Preventive Services for In Network and Non Network

Flexible Spending Account Plan

Employees may elect to enroll in TCRC’s Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Account Plans administered by LFS Benefit Service. These plans allow for eligible dependent care expenses and out-of-pocket medical expenses with wages that are not taxed, increasing an employees take home pay. The current maximum calendar year deduction for the Dependent Care Account is $5000 and the maximum calendar year deduction for the Health Care Account is $3,500. Life Insurance

TCRC provides Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefits through Mutual of Omaha to each employee and pays the premium for a $10,000 life insurance policy. Additional optional life insurance is available for employees to purchase at their cost at group rates.

Long Term Disability Insurance

TCRC pays the cost of Long-Term Disability coverage. There is a 30-day waiting period and the plan provides 66-2/3% of basic monthly earnings not to exceed the maximum monthly benefit of $7,500 per month.

Employee Assistance Program EAP

TCRC provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost to the employee through ComPsych Guidance Resources. Included are up to 3 visits per issue for such things as Relationship Counseling, Financial and Legal Counseling, Pre-Retirement Counseling, Child and Elder Care Referrals, Life Changing, Stress/Emotional Issues, and Crisis Intervention. PERS Retirement Program

TCRC is a member of the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS). and employees are exempt from paying Social Security tax. By not paying into Social Security, gross salary is increased by 6.2%. For PERS, employees contribute 5% of salary pretax and TCRC contributes an additional 2% into your personal retirement account. An exception to the Cal PERS benefit are part-time employees who work less than 20 hours per week. Voluntary Tax Sheltered Annuity

In addition to CalPERS, TCRC provides employees with an opportunity to save money on a pre-tax basis through a 403(b) Plan and two 457 Deferred Compensation Plan for additional retirement security. There are a number of investment options from which to choose. Please contact the benefits coordinator in the Human Resources Department.

Vacation/Sick/Holidays

Holidays: 11 days per year paid out at 8 hours per day.

Part-time employees shall be paid a pro-rated number of hours. Schedules shall be adjusted during the holiday week to accommodate this policy.

Personal Days: 2 Personal Holidays, per year paid out at 8 hours per day.

Vacation: 0-1 year of service 10 paid days accrued at 3.08 hrs. per pay period 2-4 years of service 15 paid days accrued at 4.62 hrs. per pay period 5 years + 20 paid days accrued at 6.16 hrs. per pay period.

Sick Days: Regular and probationary employees shall accrue up to 8 paid hours (twenty percent of their weekly schedule) of sick leave per full month worked.

Bereavement Leave is paid up to 32 hours.

Jury Duty employees who have completed the probationary period and who are required to serve jury duty shall be paid their full salary, less court compensation, for a maximum of seven (7) days

Bi-Lingual, Mileage

TCRC offers it’s qualified bargaining unit employees a Bi-Lingual premium of $75 per pay period.  Mileage reimbursement for business travel of $.485 per mile.
