Salary Starting Range: $28.02 – $31.38 hourly

Job Title: Communications, Media and Publications Coordinator

Job Summary: Manage and perform the production tasks associated with the distribution of all public information produced by the agency. Coordinate the creation, editing, and approval process of content destined for all communication channels as defined in the Communications Plan.

Primary Functions:
1. Function as the primary resource for all departments and staff for all mass communication needs.
2. Expert in the production and distribution of materials through all channels of communications.
3. Management of the Communications Plan Framework and constant fluctuations in standards and requirements that are attached to the Framework.
4. Ensure that content and subject matter experts adhere to the standards set forth in the Communications Plan.
5. Evaluate and adjust standards to meet all Stakeholders needs and function within the Communications Plan Framework.
6. Create and publish the TriLine newsletter, Annual Report and any additional news report needed on a cyclical basis.
7. Produce TCRC news including creating, editing, and selecting content for newsletters, drafting agency messages, and working with staff specialists or consultants to create or edit content.
8. Support production of the Mid-Year and End-of-Year Strategic Performance Plan reports.
9. Provide consultation and support to TCADD Board committees regarding communications with Stakeholders.
10. Create publications that meet the communication needs of staff and the information needs of Stakeholders.
11. Manage content for all communication channels centrally, publishing content that is timely and accurate.
12. Manage resources including programmers, photographers, translators, writers, designers, IS providers or others needed to enhance, translate or edit content.
13. Manage Public Relations as needed to support efficient communications and enhance communication channels.
14. Manage content on the website, intranet, and all social medio outlets.
15. Develop graphic standards and maintain graphic quality and brand.
16. Archive content; ensuring accessibility.
17. Manage electronic distribution lists.
18. Report on strategic objectives around information and communication.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.
20. Position requires occasional travel in the tri-counties area.

Skills:
• Knowledge of content creation, archiving and retrieval processes. Demonstrate understanding of electronic data, the web, social media, marketing and PR.
• Proficient in creation and manipulation of graphics – Illustrator, In-Design specifically.
• Detail and accuracy oriented.
• Analytical thinking.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to initiate and achieve objectives with minimal direction.
• Propensity for innovation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Any combination equivalent to or likely to provide the required knowledge and skills in qualifying:
1. Bachelors Degree
2. Demonstrable skills in graphic production software and tools
3. Expertise with design-tools, advanced photo, video, illustration and publishing tools
Physical Requirements
Adequate manual dexterity and coordination for operation of a computer and other standard office equipment is required for this position. The ability to sit or stand at a workstation for long periods of time, the ability to read, write and comprehend large amounts of written material such as reports and regulations, use the telephone, and communicate via electronic mail are all required on a daily basis. The ability to travel to another work-site location and traverse moderate distances is required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or control and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, kneel, stoop, bend, and squat. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and infrequently up to 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Each of these physical tasks is an essential function of the position.
