Job Summary: The Person Centered Thinking (PCT) Coordinator will coordinate TCRC’s strategic objectives and regional efforts to build capacity for person-centered practices.

Primary Functions:                                                                                                                                                              Training and Organizational Development
1. Acquire and maintain certification as Person Centered Thinking Trainer or Mentor Trainer.
2. Coordinate the integration of Person Centered Practices into all training activities of TCRC including New Employee Welcome, Service Coordinator Orientation, Residential Services Orientation, and departmental training and activities.
3. Track trends and obtain resources to learn about innovations in field of Person Centered Practices, Thinking, and Planning.
4. Serve as liaison, between the TCRC and the Learning Community for Person Centered Practices for further enhancement and development of best practices to be implemented at TCRC and shared with other organizations.
5. Maintain partnerships with other key agencies, PCT Trainers and Mentors to further Person Centered Practices in the community and in CA.
6. Design instructor-led and e-learning content to build person centered competencies and promote partnerships and teamwork in collaboration with Training and Organizational Development team. Maintain training records in TCRC Learning Center.
7. Develop and implement annual training plan for TCRC employees and stakeholder partners with a focus on Person Centered Practices aligned to support TCRC’s Vision, Mission, Values, Strategic Performance Plan and Performance Contract.
8. Educate internal and external stakeholders about training opportunities; develop and manage on-line event platforms for training participant registration and communications.
9. Deliver training and facilitation around person centered practices, including but not limited to: team performance development, individual performance plan, annual team planning or retreats, conflict resolution, meeting facilitation, support for individual planning team meetings, and development of IPP.
10. Develop and maintain systems to track, evaluate, and measure effectiveness of PCT training programs and coaching development activities, making use of data collection methodologies including, but not limited to Services and Supports Survey, National Core Indicators, Council on Quality and Leadership.
11. Develop and present reports regarding PC work at least three times a year and as requested to TCRC Executive Office and TCADD Board of Directors and Board committee as requested.

Project Management
12. Plan, lead, organize and develop multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously to build and maintain capacity for Person-Centered Practices.                                              13. Provide coordination of TCRC PCT Mentor/Trainer activities including facilitation of regular meetings, certification of PCT mentors and trainers, and maintain a network of trainers to support training and capacity building initiatives.
14. Chair TCRC’s Person Centered Thinking Infrastructure Committee to support PC capacity building efforts, integrate Person Centered Practices in the organization, and share agency progress and needs related to our PCT initiatives.
15. Participate in work groups that support and promote the implementation of Person Centered Practices at TCRC; i.e. PCT Infrastructure Committee, Leadership Team Planning Committee, and Strategic Performance Plan Focus Area Groups.
16. Provide oversight for, support, and participate in Communities of Practice events across TCRC catchment area: develop infrastructure, create resources, advise local representatives, and report on progress, etc.
17. Lead the CA Gathering for Person-Centered Practices Committee to plan, manage, organize and develop event platform, presenters, content, communications, outreach and coordination for bi-annual CA Gathering event in partnership with The Learning Community for Person-Centered Practices.
18. Coordinate TCRC employee participation in CA Gathering for Person Centered Practices.
19. Develop and monitor event program and budget for the CA Gathering.
20. Develop and maintain PC Practices content as needed for TCRC’s internet and intranet.
21. Collaborate with TCRC stakeholder partners including Family Resource Centers, schools, service providers to make best practice PCT information available to TCRC staff, service providers, persons served by TCRC and families.
22. Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Certification from the Learning Community for Person Centered Practices as Person Centered Thinking Trainer or the equivalent is preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with diverse populations, and cultures in a variety of situations; excellent group and facilitation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability in public speaking and conducting presentations.
• Demonstrated expertise with Person Centered Thinking skills and knowledge of PC Planning.
• Knowledge of adult learning styles and effective instructional design and delivery methods.
• Project management and coordination experience including planning and managing budgets.
• Experience using various technologies including but not limited to: MS Office suite, ZOOM, Event Brite, Survey Monkey, Adobe Acrobat, and InDesign.
• Self-starter able to work on complex problems and organize multiple priorities independently.
• Knowledge of service delivery methods to people with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to work flexible and varied hours, which may include evenings and weekends.                                                                                                            • Valid California driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle or equivalent means of transportation. This position will require regular travel throughout the Tri-Counties area and occasional travel to state or national meetings.

Education and Experience:                                                                                                                                                               Master’s Degree in Social Work, Organizational Development or a related field, and two years’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities. A Bachelor’s degree and two additional years of related experience may be substituted for the Master’s Degree. Advanced experience using Person Centered Thinking (PCT) skills and applying them is preferred and may be substituted for experience with persons with developmental disabilities.

Physical Requirements:                                                                                                                                                                  Adequate manual dexterity and coordination for operation of a computer and other standard office equipment is required for this position. The ability to sit at a workstation for long periods of time, the ability to read, write and comprehend large amounts of written material such as reports and regulations, use the telephone, and communicate via electronic mail are all required on a daily basis. The ability to travel to another work-site location is occasionally required. The ability to stand, sit or walk for moderate distances is also required on a daily basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel and operate objects, tools, or control and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, kneel, stoop, bend, and squat. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and infrequently up to 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
