PURPOSE:

Tri-Counties Regional Center shall require General and Professional Liability insurance from all vendors.

POLICY:

Vendors shall provide Certificate of Insurance indicating at least the minimum coverages and amounts shown below as a condition of vendorization, or, unless there is a legal waiver, placement of regional center persons served for services.

PROCEDURE:

  1. Providers shall submit certificates of insurance meeting the following requirements prior to placement.
  2. New vendors who do not meet the insurance requirements will be placed in a pending status. No placements can be made while the vendor is in a pending status.
  3. When a facility is sold or a vendor moves to a new address and TCRC does not have proof of the required insurance, the facility will be paid only board and care monies for people residing in the facility at the time of sale or move. The vendor will be coded as having no insurance. No placements can be made while in this status. Once the vendor is in compliance, full reimbursement can be made.

The certificate you provide must:

  • Be an original document.
  • List all subsidiaries or DBA’s covered by the certificate provided.
  • Show complete insurance carrier names as listed in the A.M. Best or Demotech Property & Casualty Guide

Vendors shall provide TCRC with at least thirty (30) days prior written notice of cancellation of these required policies.

The Certificate of Insurance must be completed in its entirety and signed.

Binders are NOT acceptable.

Required Coverages:

The Certificate should state if molestation and sexual abuse exclusions are removed.

Commercial General Liability (CGL) (occurrence form):

  • $1,000,000.00 General Liability Aggregate
  • N/A Products and Completed Operations Aggregate
  • N/A Personal and Advertising Injury
  • $1,000,000.00 Each Occurrence
  • N/A Fire Damage
  • Coverage must be placed with a carrier rated not less than A-, VI by A. M. Best & Co.

Professional Liability coverage of not less than:

  • $1,000,000.00 Professional Liability Aggregate Limits
  • $1,000,000.00 Professional Liability Each Occurrence Limits Coverage must be placed with a carrier rated not less than A-, V by A. M. Best & Co.or Demotech
